Job Summary and Scope:
The position is responsible for independently managing customer forecast/PO and conduct demand planning when necessary, managing the day to day activities for customers with the goal of ensuring success order fulfillment and driving efficiency. Responsible for managing daily supplier delivery planning, actual shipment tracking based on customer demand signal. Responsible for validating the monthly reconciliation statement with customers, suppliers, VMIs and support Finance for monthly close activities. Responsible for inventory management and participate in yearly cycle count to ensure system integrity. Act as first PIC for both customers and suppliers after project goes to MP, and leverage with internal stakeholders (PM, Eng, Quality) to ensure right person involved to solve issues. Responsible for day to day supplier/VMI activities on inventory pulling and management. In additional, senior position is responsible for managing supplier capacity for his dedicated accounts, and drive lean inventory management and lean supply chain cost.
Job Responsibilities:
Effective Order Fulfillment
Daily push order, forecast demand signal in UGS Navision system
Manage VMI relationship, manage custom declaration to ensure COS
Responsible for handling all price requests both on and off contract. Make sure prices are consistent
Responsible for customer specific reports and tracking fail rates, on time delivery etc.
Responsible for customer’s urgent pull in requests and leverage AM to negotiate with ODM whenever delivery can’t meet schedule
Provide EOL data recommendation and leverage AM to drive closure with ODM
Manage daily supplier delivery planning, actual shipment tracking based on customer demand signal from customer services
Suppliers daily delivery order tracking and management
Inventory control and compliance management at the factory
Responsible to negotiate with supplier to support customer’s urgent pull in requests
Monthly PO,DO and invoice reconciliation by liaising with US customer service team and sales ops team
Match and verify all order acknowledgements, POs
Monitor vendor performance. Address key operational performance issues with vendors
Managing supplier capacity for his dedicated accounts
Cost Effective Supply Chain
Lead monthly PO and invoice reconciliation within internal team, VMI and customer
Ensure effective cash management: provide overdue payment data recommendation and leverage AM to drive payment collection; monitor RNV meet target of less than 30days
Responsible for lean inventory management
Optimize VMI cost to minimize supply chain cost
Optimize order placement to minimize supply chain cost
Supplier Relationship Management :
Manage day to day supplier relationships and escalate to Account Leader when necessary to build effective communications.
Provide analysis or report on inventory, delivery and other activities, advising or recommending upon opportunities and risks as appropriate.
Monitor vendor performance. Address performance issues with vendors or Account Leader.
VMI Relationship Management :
Manage day to day VMI relationships and escalate to Account Leader when necessary to build effective communications.
Provide analysis or report on inventory, delivery and other activities, advising or recommending upon opportunities and risks as appropriate.
Monitor vendor performance. Address performance issues with vendors or Account Leader.
Informative Management Reporting
Support management reporting data collection, including revenue, GTM, etc.
Skills / Experience / Education Requirements:
Colleague Degree above
3+ years experience in a contract manufacturing environment or branding as planner/buyer position
Excellent communication skills with experience providing post sales support
Must be very well organized and can communicate effectively with US and Asia customers and support team.
Proven track record of positive and long-standing relationships with vendors and suppliers
Microsoft office skill needed
Strong data driven
Familiar with ERP system
